Chreav Waterfall Community Tourism is a highly potential tourist destination in Kampong Speu Province. It has been attracting many visitors who come to swim, relax, and camp, which has helped improve the livelihoods of the local community.
The Kampong Speu Provincial Department of Tourism stated that Chreav Waterfall Resort has great potential because it is located in the Oral Mountain range, an area rich in community-based tourism, ecotourism, and adventure tourism. What is especially remarkable is that the waterfall flows from a height of up to 15 meters, making it very attractive to tourists.
The Director of the Department of Tourism added that Chreav Waterfall consists of seven tiers and offers cool, refreshing water for visitors seeking relaxation. It is a natural tourist site surrounded by forested mountains and has been receiving increasing attention from domestic tourists, as it has become widely known for its pleasant atmosphere and beautiful natural scenery.
Visitors can swim and bathe in the water, enjoy the mountain and forest views, admire the waterfall, and prepare meals with family on flat rock platforms under the shade of cool trees. They can also sit in huts, listening to the sounds of wildlife blending with the continuous rush of water cascading down the rocks.
It is worth noting that Chreav Waterfall was officially opened in 2015. It is located in Tang Samrong Village, Amleang Commune, Thpong District, Kampong Speu Province, approximately more than 70 kilometers from the provincial town of Kampong Speu. The waterfall features multiple cascades, making it ideal for swimming and recreational activities for both domestic and international tourists.
According to Mr. Say Sern, the head of the Chreav Community, the area regularly welcomes both local and a small number of international visitors who come to enjoy the site.
He further stated that in 2026, the Chreav Community has carried out several development projects, including the construction of a 1,500-meter concrete road and new, clean restroom facilities for public use. Food prices are reasonable and standardized within the community. In addition, there are services available for visitors who wish to camp overnight, with security personnel on duty to ensure the safety of all guests.

Sann Nimol Temple Sann Nimol Temple, locally known as Sann Thmol, is located near the ancient stone staircase that connects to Phnom Chisor Temple. About one kilometer beyond this temple lies Sann Phou Vang Temple, commonly called Sann Ta Vang. In the past, both temples were hidden deep within the forest, making their original forms difficult to see. However, in early November 2008, the Department of Culture and Fine Arts of Takeo Province, in cooperation with local authorities, launched a forest-clearing campaign to preserve these ancient sites and develop them into tourist attractions, while also safeguarding them as national heritage. According to archaeologists, Sann Nimol Temple and Sann Phou Vang Temple are satellite temples of Phnom Chisor, constructed during the reigns of King Suryavarman I, King Dharanindravarman I, and King Suryavarman II. These three kings ordered the temples to be built and dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The construction was carried out in stages, s...
From the green mountain peak, the cool breeze calms the heart as the eyes gaze downward to a beautiful countryside landscape. Khmer villagers’ houses are grouped closely together, reflecting a simple, pure, and united way of life passed down through many generations. Below, under the morning sunlight, the vast rice fields stretch widely, glowing even more brightly during the harvest season, their golden color spreading like a giant sheet of shimmering gold. On the mountaintop, where the wind blows gently and the soft sounds of wildlife can be heard, stands a peaceful Buddhist temple in a truly magnificent location. This temple is a sacred place of worship for the Khmer people, especially during festival seasons, when the chanting of prayers and the fragrance of incense create a serene and spiritual atmosphere for all who visit. Altogether, these elements blend into an unforgettable scene of the Cambodian countryside.
