Kirirom National Park
Kirirom National Park, officially known as Preah Suramarit-Kossamak Kirirom National Park, is a national park of the Kingdom of Cambodia located about 112 kilometers from Phnom Penh along National Road No. 4 toward Sihanoukville. The park is situated in Damrei Phut Village, Kirirom Commune, Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province. Kirirom National Park covers an area of approximately 80,000 hectares of forest land. Kirirom Mountain stands at an elevation of around 700 meters above sea level. It was the very first national park officially established in Cambodia. Kirirom National Park is one of Cambodia’s most famous natural tourist destinations among the country’s large national parks. It became especially well known during the Sangkum Reastr Niyum era.
